So, what's up?

Yup, 1004 miles. Let's do this.

Honestly... I've never written a blog, nor do I know how to write one. Are there specific rules? No damn clue. So I'm just going to wing it. Work with me here.

I first heard about Run 4 Red Ribbon through my friend Jenna, well....through her Facebook. Anyway, I went to her page and read all about it. Immediately I was curious and intrigued. To run 1004 miles in 1 year. To dedicate yourself to something for so long, such commitment, I was blown away. I don't recall the exact words out of my mouth when I read about her doing this, but I'm sure it was something along the lines of "Holy Shit." At first I didn't even consider myself about participating in this project. I do remember being extremely proud to call Jenna my friend. Then after a few weeks (and seeing numerous updates on her page & blog) the only thing I could think of is how awesome being able to accomplish something like this would be, and the impact it would have a many lives, I knew right then that I had to somehow get in on the action. I talked to Jenna about it and she was all for it, I'm doing the same program as her and didn't want to seem like a "copy-cat". She gave me the email and I started the process of beginning my journey.

With that being said....JayJay, Thank you for inspiring me. And Nabeel, thank you for giving me the opportunity to change so many lives.

You guys take it easy!
